Sisters Beauty Lounge: A Luxurious Beauty Hotel Experience

Creating a flagship destination that combines beauty and hospitality

Brand Creative was tasked with creating a flagship look for Sisters Beauty Lounge, elevating the beauty experience from being just a service space to a place that exudes luxury and comfort. The design concept revolves around the notions of comfort and advanced technologies, incorporating both into the environment to cater to the needs of today's busy woman.

One of the unique features of Sisters Beauty Lounge is its integration of multitasking furniture and equipment. The design team worked closely with hairstylists and therapists to understand their workflow and ensure that the space was optimized for their tasks. The color palette and material selection were carefully chosen to create a visually calming atmosphere while also withstanding the daily usage of 150 customers and chemically harsh products.

Lighting played a crucial role in creating the right ambiance for both staff and customers. Brand Creative collaborated with specialized Italian suppliers and lighting engineers to achieve optimal lighting conditions for detailed work while maintaining a soft, spa-like atmosphere. Custom features, such as the crystal wave at the entry and neon corridor sconces, were designed in collaboration with local lighting designers to add a touch of modernity to the space.

The design team also took into consideration the back-of-house operations, creating efficient rooms for the 60 staff members. Storage was integrated within each treatment area to ensure a clutter-free environment. The placement of these rooms was carefully planned to ensure that therapists were easily accessible to clients, even during preparation or cleanup.

The design process for Sisters Beauty Lounge involved extensive research, including work studies, prototyping, and body analysis. The goal was to create an optimal space that keeps stylists efficient while maintaining a clutter-free floor. Tools and storage were strategically placed, and stylists now keep only essential tools on custom-designed waist aprons, improving efficiency and speed.

Despite the challenges of creating a space that sees over 200 people a day, Sisters Beauty Lounge manages to be both practical and luxurious. The design team tested all surfaces and fabrics with the chemical products used in the salon to ensure durability and cleanliness. The final result is a contemporary, warm, and luxurious aesthetic that is also functional, ergonomic, and efficient.

Sisters Beauty Lounge, located in The Dubai Mall, was designed by Brand Creative and completed in October 2015. It has since become a flagship destination, offering women the ultimate pampering experience in a space that combines beauty and hospitality.
